Job: IT Projects & Solutions Manager in Alexandria, Egypt

The IT Project Manager (ITPM) is accountable for managing the Pier 55 IT projects. The ITPM must ensure to apply and follow the best project management standards throughout all project phases. The ITPM is accountable for the successful delivery of the IT projects.

Major duties

  • Responsible for participating in the Terminal Roadmap elaboration and rollout
  • Manage “Application Support and Project” Team
  • Conduct active architecture market monitoring, promote standards and advise terminals team on technical solutions, methodology and processes.
  • Drives short & long-term architecture strategy for the overall IT project portfolio for key business segments
  • Participates in proof of concepts to assist in defining technology direction and enabling business strategy
  • Support, communicates and validates architecture align with central Terminal IT recommendations.
  • Responsible for Terminals application design, systems analysis, security assessment
  • Acts as expert for Terminal solution, automation, data analytics to increase terminal performance.
  • Contribute to infrastructure design of IT solutions.
  • Responsible for impact analysis and design modifications to existing systems to support new solutions
  • Manage project activities
    1. Help the team and terminals’ actors in general to build reliable and viable projects.
    2. Diffuse agile methodology in teams to optimize project delivery.
    3. Build project specification and requirement then evaluate responses from vendors
    4. Participate in RFI and/or RFP processes.
    5. Manage project pillars: Budget, Planning, Decisions, Resources and Risks
    6. Manage suppliers/vendors contracts
    7. Report about the progress of projects to management
    8. Manage testing and validation of projects deliverables
    9. Prepare documentation to transfer new solution to IT Operations before go live.
  • Manage corrective and evolutive maintenance
    1. Responsible of 2nd level of support for incidents
    2. provide technical support and problem resolution related to business application software systems
    3. Manage Product vendor support contracts and incident case follow up
    4. Validate with business and CIO the priority of the backlog of development/improvement tasks
    5. Maintain KPI reporting on support activity
